Business in the Burbs: Provident reports flat earnings in quarter (The Journal News)

Provident Bank New York Bancorp reports net income was flat at $5.1 million in its fiscal fourth quarter, which ended Sept. 30. On an individual-share basis, the Montebello-based parent of Provident Bank said it earned 13 cents a share, up a penny from 12 cents a share a year ago.
