Singapore Health Sciences Authority Alerts Consumers To An Illegal Product -”ASAM URAT FLU TULANG, PJ. DEWANDARU”

The Health Sciences Authority (HSA) warns consumers not to take an illegal medicinal product labelled as "Asam Urat Flu Tulang, PJ. Dewandaru", which has been found to be adulterated with Western medicinal ingredients, diclofenac, dexamethasone and paracetamol. These medicinal ingredients have the potential to cause serious adverse effects. HIPAA Goes To Hollywood, Medical Justice News

Legislation introduced in Massachusetts this past January would mandate that all surgical procedures be videotaped. It would even go so far as to fine hospitals for neglecting to do so. While the bill's sponsor, State Representative Martin J. Walsh, feels that videotaping will help detect medical errors, it is widely opposed by physicians and the Massachusetts Medical Society. Physician Distrust Varies Across Racial Groups And Geographic Locations

Blacks and Hispanics demonstrate significantly higher levels of physician distrust than whites in the United States and racial differences vary substantially according to individual characteristics, including the city of residence and socioeconomic status. Researchers analyzed 11,422 responses from the Community Tracking Study, a population-based survey of health and health care, and found that race/ethnicity was significantly associated with physician distrust.
